Leawood, Kansas – 27Global is pleased to welcome MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect Ambrish Patel to lead the company’s MuleSoft practice.
“I’m thrilled to join the 27Global team to spearhead its MuleSoft practice, helping the company turn transformational ideas into game-changing technology solutions for its clients,” said Patel.
Patel is one of only a few MuleSoft Certified Integration Architects based in Kansas City, and he brings with him more than 15 years of experience in the field. Throughout the last three years, Patel was a solution architect running and rolling out MuleSoft at SE2, a leader in technology-driven third-party administration services for the life and annuity insurance industry, both internally and externally for its clients.
MuleSoft provides the most widely used integration platform (Mule ESB & CloudHub) for connecting software as a service (SaaS) and enterprise applications in the cloud and on-premise, and many of the biggest Kansas City-based companies utilize it for their digital transformation projects. Throughout the last year, Patel served as an enterprise architect, consulting for 27Global on these projects. He joined the company full-time in April.
“To meet client needs large and small, we’ve complemented our strong enterprise architecture capabilities with MuleSoft skills, beginning with Ambrish, who joins our team as a MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect,” said 27Global Founder & CEO Steve Roatch. “We’re MuleSoft experts, but we’re not beholden to the MuleSoft platform. If a client needs custom software, we can do that. If the right answer is MuleSoft, we can do that. We remain tech-agnostic, guiding our customers toward the right solution for them.”
Founded in 2008, 27Global designs, builds and operates custom software solutions for businesses of all sizes. Five years ago, the company increased investment in technology architecture, which has paid dividends with the rise of cloud services and cloud native architectures in Kansas City and beyond. A couple years later, the company saw a gap in the market and invested in DevOps and site reliability engineering to provide continuous delivery with high software quality.
As 27Global implemented cloud native solutions for clients, it applied service-oriented architectures, often building middleware layers with open source technologies. Some of these projects were perfect candidates for MuleSoft, including major global companies based in Kansas City.
“A lot of these third-wave companies that did work with local databases, checklists and spreadsheets for decades now have disparate systems that don’t talk to one another. They know they have a challenge to solve that,” Roatch said. “By implementing something like MuleSoft, it allows them to save a tremendous amount of custom software development time to focus on their business challenges.”
Despite introduction of a new enterprise service bus, 27Global still touts the same approach it’s known for. The company’s MuleSoft work is implemented by a full complement of software delivery skills, ranging from DevOps to UI/UX to Quality Assurance, orchestrated by a team of consultants and scrum masters who are able to help ensure business results are delivered.
This new chapter is just the latest iteration demonstrating how the agile company is able to pivot to grow. In the last decade, 27Global has outgrown its office, relocating to – and filling – a new office in Leawood, Kansas, opened and tripled the size of its Denver office, and staffed more than 60 employees in Vietnam. Last year, the company observed a 60% growth in employee count and a 33% growth in revenue with zero attrition, culminating in the organization’s Best Place to Work win from the Kansas City Business Journal.
